One of the central problems facing the Church and our people is the question of Kosovo, which has long been under occupation, Patriarch Irinej said.
He made these comments at the start of the regular May Holy Assembly session in the Patriarchate of Pec.
“By the will of this world's power, our holy land of Kosovo and Metohija, first suffered a great loss, more than all the previous sufferings in its history, it would eventually be separated from Serbia and proclaimed an independent Albanian state, at least making a” effort, he said.
