Interior Minister Flamur Sefaj has officially resigned from leadership of the ministry. This was made known through a letter sent by the AKR, a party in which there is Sefaj.
The request for the release of the minister's position had asked executive leader Ramush Haradinaj days earlier.
He had demanded that Flamur Sefaj resign from the position of Interior Minister, and Driton Gashi from the AKI director.
The reason for this had been the action for the arrest and deportation of six “gylenists” to Turkey.
In a proposal for Insander, AKR's organising secretary, Beating Pacolli said the AKR would stay in coalition with PAN.
The reason for this is that Sefaj has resigned and has not been fired.
He acted like Western states. When he is a minister under investigation he must resign. Therefore, the AKR will stay in Haradinaj's government because Sefaj resigned and was not dismissed. If the opposite had happened, I have said there would have been no reason for us to remain part of the government”, Pacolli said.
Last night Pacolli had said AKR left the government if Flamur Sefaj didn't keep working.
