After taking protective measures for milk from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the flour of Serbian blocs, Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani has warned that this minister will soon take measures for trees and vegetables as well.
Minister Hasani has made that warning in his Facebook profile.
We'll make a decision about trees and vegetables soon. We encourage our farmers to keep working because we will always be behind them. We promise all local producers that we will not stop, but we will take steps further on all products that we see are damaging the well-being and development of our producers.”, Hasani said.
This is his full post:
Dear citizens, we have made a decision today to protect ourselves for milk, namely, the milk imported from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
To this decision we have come after the investigation that has been found that imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina have increased by 20 percent and impacted local products with the fact that importation of milk products from Bosnia and Herzegovina is at low cost, which is under the cost of local milk products. This protective measure affects about 3 thousand farmers with farms of 5 cows to 250 and over 30 milk processing.
Months ago we also imposed protective measures on flour imported from Serbia and construction products. Soon we will make decisions about trees and vegetables. We encourage our farmers to keep working because we will always be behind them. We promise all local producers that we will not stop, but we will take steps further on all the products we see are damaging the well-being and development of our producers.
