Today at the Parliamentary Commission for Supervising the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Deputy Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency Latif Merovci was due to report, but with an official document, Merovci has requested that this report be postponed until the circumstances created at AKI are clarified.
Haxhi Shala, MP from the Social Democrat Initiative and a member of the Commission for AKI Monitoring, at Express Interview in KTV, said he remains in charge of Merovci, who was present.
The “meeting was supposed to be Merovci, but it was missing. Merovci said he was willing, he knows his reasons, maybe he knows the prime minister, but he did good that it was because that's the responsibility and he should be present whenever necessary”, Shala said.
Shala has said that on the day the deportation of six Turkish citizens took place, they have appealed to the AKI director and then to the deputy director, but have not been notified. Shala says she's responding to the commission.
He said further that it was decided that the director would be invited again next week, and they expect an answer.
Shala has said that they have not addressed the president on this issue, (why President Hashim Thaci has a major role in deporting Turkish citizens).
He has said Prime Minister Haradinaj has asked the inspectorate to be investigated for their deportation and to understand whether there has been legal violations.
Shala says their commission has not secured any reports, but does not deny there may be reports concerning the deportation of six Turkish citizens.
“I don't know what Haradinaj can have in the drawer, but I believe there is still no official report”, Shala has said, adding that they have asked to have a report.
At the request of the LDK, which has sought to establish this Commission to hold debate over their deportation, Shala said all parties have agreed to create this commission.
We are discussing who to lead this commission. Based on signatures, all opposition parties are initiated. We as a position will not lead, the opposition will lead”, Shala said.
Shala has said that this Commission, all individuals, even the president, should be accountable, because according to him, this commission will remove Kosovo from the established CHAkaos.
He has also said that immediately after the completion of the Commission's creation, he will begin the investigation work, and hopes to take place within a six-month period.
