American Treasury, IMF and BB will help further BQC

BQK Governor Fehmi Mehmeti, during the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which are being held in Washington, has held meetings with representatives and senior officials of the American Treasury, IMF, BB, and his counterparts from different countries in the region and beyond.
Amid numerous meetings, Mehmet has met with Director of Association for Financial Services in the American Treasury Paul Leonovich and his team.
At this meeting, the Kosovo Governor briefed Lenovichin about the latest developments in Kosovo's financial system and about financial health indicators. Also, Mehmet expressed gratitude for the contribution the US has made to the construction of Kosovo institutions, with the Turkish army expressing gratitude for the great contribution the American Treasury has made to developing the capacity of the CEC.
The meeting also discussed activities conducted by the CEC to preserve financial stability, as well as further steps to be taken to strengthen the role of the financial system in supporting Kosovo's economic development. Leonovich thanked Governor Mehmeti for the long-term co-operation of the American Treasury with Kosovo, as well as expressed readiness to support the further development of Kosovo”, the BEC communiqué said.
In the course of these meetings, Governor Mehmet has met with IMF Deputy Director Tao Zhang, who informed him of general developments in the financial system and thanked him for the continued support IMF has provided BQK's over the years.
Mehmet also held meetings with IMF Department for Europe Director Paul Thomsen, Executive Director at our IMF Constituence Michaela Erbenova, with the IMF Mission for Kosovo and MCM (Montary Capital Market) headed by Paul Mathieeu.
In addition to meetings as mentioned above, the BEC Governor also held meetings with representatives of the World Bank, Cyril Mueller vice president of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia.
Mehmet also met with Franz Godts, Executive Director of our World Bank conference. The governor also attended the World Bank Constitution meetings and the International Monetary Fund, which Kosovo is part of.
According to the communiqué, the work of the CEC in providing a stable financial system and in the service of the country's economic development was highly praised at all these meetings, as well as the IMF's readiness to support the further development of the CEC.
