China has approved lifting limited limits for its leader, effectively allowing Xi Jinping to remain president for life.
The constitutional changes were approved by the annual meeting of China's National People's Congress this Sunday.
The vote was widely seen as a test of sealing this fact. Two delegates voted against the change and three abstained, out of 2,964 votes.
According to the BBC, China has imposed a two-year restriction on its president since the 1990s.
Chinese President Xi, however, challenged the tradition of presenting a potential successor during the October Communist Party Congress, transemton Klan Kosova.
After this administration was approved, Xi Jinping was seen applauding.
