Turkey's combat aircraft have destroyed at least 18 regions controlled by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, the Turkish state news agency Anadolu reported, broadcast Reuters.
The attacks, carried out on Saturday and Sunday, had been targeted by regions -- Hakurk, Zap, Metina, Gara and Avasin-Basian in northern Iraq -- is quoted as saying by the Anadolu agency.
Turkey consistently carried out air strikes against PKK targets in northern Iraq, as the group has been located in the Qandil Mountains.
This party is considered a terrorist organisation by the United States, the European Union and Turkey.
PKK members have committed three-decade uprisings in Turkey, of which more than 40,000 people have died.
In January, Turkey has launched a military operation in the African region of Syria to remove members of Kurds in Syria (YPG) from the southern border.
Turkey considers YPG members linked to the PKK.
American support for the YPG, in fighting militants of the extremist group, the Islamic State in Syria, has strained relations between Ankara and Washington.
Both countries are members of NATO.
