Thousands of citizens honoured the heroic fall of the Yasar family

Citizens Leona Jahiri, who was present in the manifestation, has told Kosova Preris that it is a special pride when you see fireworks start to celebrate freedom, while 20 years ago only guns were heard.

“Now here on Fire Night, it's a feeling and a very special pride, when you see them here lighting fireworks to celebrate freedom, because 20 years ago only guns and rifles were heard. The Jashar family sacrifice is the greatest sacrifice that has taken place in Kosovo, for the independence we have today”, she said.

Singer Remzije Osmani said she feels the obligation to be ever present at concerts organised in Prekaz to honour the fall and sacrifice of the Jashar family.

I want to thank all these people who are here tonight. This is a special date that everyone should respond to this evening's invitation, as it becomes such a great organization here in Prekaz. It is known that the Jashar family has given much to this people, so we artists and all the Albanian people should be grateful and especially I am talking about ourselves, we should always be present here for the concerts that are organised in honor of this family, in honor of all the martyrs here in Prescaz and Drenica”, Osman said.

Citizens Egzon Haxhiu, who had come from Mitrovica to participate in “Fire Night”, said more must be done for the Jashar family.

“This family has made a contribution that remains legend in the history of our people and needs as much to do for this family and for their contribution”, Haxhiu said.
