Thaci decrees appointment of Fehmi Mehmet to position BEC governor

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, decreed today the appointment of Fehmi Mehmeti to the position of Central Bank Governor of the Republic of Kosovo.

The decree was made based on Article 84, provisions (4, 27) of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 6 of Law No. 03/L-094 for president of the Republic of Kosovo ( GZ, No. 47, 25, 2009), Article 38 (1, 2) of Law No. 03/L-209 for Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo ( GZ, No.77, 16 August 2010), as well as the Kosovo Republic Assembly Proposal No. 06-V-081, dated 15,03,2018, accepted by the President's office in 26.03.2018.

We remember that prior to Mehmet, Bedri Hamza, now Kosovo finance minister, was in this position. /Periscopi/
