Russia will expel at least 150 Western diplomats in response to the expulsion of its diplomats from Great Britain, the US, and other Western allies, due to the poisoning of the former Russian spy in Britain.
The Kremlin announced the closure of the American Consulate in St Petersburg. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he had announced the US ambassador's departure of 60 diplomats from Russia, as much as Washington expelled.
More than 20 countries have expelled Russian intelligence representatives, including the US, Canada, Australia.
The situation between Russia and the West is irritability after Great Britain openly accused Moscow of involvement in nervous agent poisoning, former spy Sergei Scripal and his daughter Julia, on March 4th, who are still in critical condition for life.
