Mitrovica municipality Chairman Agim Bahtiri has hosted a meeting today of the deputy and chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti.
Through a media communique sent by the Mitrovica municipality, it becomes known that Vetevendosje's leader has been very pleased with good co-operation with Chairman Bahtiri and current governance in Mitrovica.
He has added further to the reason for his visit, it is to be more closely informed of the actual projects being conducted in the municipality of Mitrovica.
In this case Bahtiri has announced Kurti's strategic plans and political situation in the city, as well as the projects that are ready to be implemented.
“Project on the realisation of the Ibër Bridge to Praequillum Lake, Olympic pool project in Mitrovica, the channeling project on both sides of the Iber River, the hotel project on half of the Iber River, industrial zones in Frasher, the subsidy of farmers, with whom municipalities will pay interest to farmers for three years<18x1>, Bahtiri was quoted as saying, announcing the Mitrovica municipality media office.
As reported in the communiqué during this meeting, it has also been talked about Mitrovica's political situation on both sides, the reconstruction of the bridge and the resumption of the works, the free economic zone where businesses will be tax free.
The two sides agreed that economic development is important because economic development fosters the unification of the city”, the municipality community said.
Bahtiri and Kurti have also talked about international thematics that refer to the country and the people of Kosovo.
At this meeting, President Bahtiri has asked Kurti and his central-level commissions to support the subsidisation of the ICBM College from Mitrovica to be functional.
“This meeting, which lasted more than two hours, both sides agreed to lobby on attracting your investors, with particular emphasis on Albanian investors operating in the diaspora, which are the pillar of economic development in Kosovo”.
