The month of June is expected to finally clarify Kosovo's path towards liberalisation. If all procedures under which this process needs to be passed go smoothly, now after ratification of Demarketing, Kosovo is likely to receive a positive recommendation for visa removal in June, the newspaper “Zer” writes today.
That is how leaders of the Commission for European Integrations, who have said that it must work towards meeting the last remaining criteria, fighting organised crime and corruption.
Meanwhile, integration process experts have considered visa liberalisation could happen by the end of this year only if it is worked intensively towards closing the last remaining visa-free condition.
This has been confirmed by former European Integration Ministry leaders who have said that from now on all attention to visa removal is focused on the European Union.
Former European Integration Minister Mimoza Ahmetaj, during a statement to “Zrin”, has voiced optimism that the visa liberalisation issue will be closed as soon as possible
