The Labour Inspectorate has begun the year with the severity of measures against violators of the Labour Law.
In this two-month period alone, the Labour Inspectorate has pronounced over 200 fines, including the private sector and public institutions.
“The construction sector is one of the areas that does not provide enough security for workers at the workplace. But from this there is no exception to other private or public activities”, this is said by Chief Inspector Basri Ibrahimi.
He says last year has closed with 14 cases of job deaths and over 50 injured.
In a proposal for Radio Kosovo, Chief Inspector Ibrahimi said that “have hardened security measures, while in this two-month period alone over 200 fines” have been pronounced.
Ibrahim warned that by April, the Inspectorate has seen rigorous measures, with the aim of awareness of employers, of the safety of workers in their jobs.
“For the Work Plan for 2018, the Labour Inspectorate, which currently numbers 50 inspectors, has preceded awareness campaigns for many activities such as construction companies, hotels, small and large brands, physical insurance companies, and other”, he stated. / RK
