The European Writer's decision to secure Quality in Higher Education for the exclusion of the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation is the tip of Aisberg and the situation in education, according to education issues expert Halim Hyseni.
In an interview for “Kahen Ditore”, he blames all governments so far because, according to him, with initiatives for changes that have so far undertaken education have brought him into deep collapse. He has demanded that the Minister of Education, Science and Technology take steps as soon as possible to depoliticise the education system, which, according to him, is deeply involved in education.
How do you evaluate the situation in education?
Hyseni: The situation in education is extremely serious and seriously jeopardises the future of Kosovo citizens. This educational system does not make the preparation of Kosovo's citizens able to integrate into global world flows and does not prepare its citizens to compete in either the local or international market.
Unless a profound transformation of the educational system is made, our youth is unlikely to be integrated into either Kosovo or the general courses of society in the region and the world. Our young people are not even able to think globally because they are not prepared to integrate and do not understand global flows.
