The Gjilan municipality can be added by 5 directors and 4 committees

The municipality of Gjilan has finalised the preliminary procedure for amending and fulfilling the statute, as a need for reshuffle of governance, where an increase in the number of directors and committees is envisioned. Thus, 5 directors and a total of four new committees have been proposed.

Through a communiqué sent to the municipality of Gjilan media, it has revealed that Arben Mehmet, chairman of the commission for statuteic changes and other norms, has said that the commission has completed the work on changing the Communist statute, where some fulfillments and changes have been made in the current document concerning content, and some linguistic and termological improvements have also been made, as well as clarifications of specific definitions, then the accuracy of certain alternative nature terms, giving you a form of nature in institutional commitment.

The commission, given the requirements of citizens, requests of specific interest groups, civil society and other groupings, during public discussion, with the main focus of civic interest in local governance, has recommended changes in the statute for the Communist Assembly, as well as for the board of directors, presidential offices and committees.

The commission, with full consensus, has decided to recommend the establishment of several new directors, such as the need for empowering and restructuring in line with current developments regarding legislation in force and the profile of services in relation to citizens and other institutions.

Therefore, the commission has proposed establishing the Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sports, as well as the Directorate of Inspection.

While because of the most efficient profile and services in relation to citizens, it has been proposed that the Directorate for Health and Social Goodness be divided into the Directorate for Primary Health and the Director for Social Affairs and Social Home.

“also, as a result of the need for a more serious commitment to some more specific services, reconciliation has been achieved to create a new directorate for Environmental Protection”, Mehmeti said.

In order to strengthen the role of municipal attorney, as a necessary need to be on the move with regard to services, responsibilities and new developments in the field of legal infrastructure, the commission has agreed to establish the Gjilan municipality's Lawyer's Office.

Meanwhile, with the creation of new directors, the Office for Culture, Youth and Sports will be extinguished.

Also, under these changes, the creation of new committees has been recommended as the demand of certain human organization groups as well as the establishment of directors, as well as the following: The advisory committee for persons with limited abilities, the Committee for Primary Health, the Committee for Social Affairs, and social residence, as well as the Committee for Environmental Protection.

Mehmeti has said all these changes have been made with full consensus of all members of the commission who have been present, except the representatives of the Serb community, which has been missing at the commission's recent meeting, when changes have been made in terms of the organisational structure of the municipality.

The commission has been composed of members of the LDK, LVV, PDK, AAK, NISMA, AKR and Serb minority.
