Although this government ruling was not rejected by anyone, ombudsman Hilmi Jashari has said that a solution had been given to recommendations they had presented to the Commission for Human Rights and Gender Equality to find alternative opportunities for covering the expenses of electricity bills spent by Serbian municipalities in the north.
We had a session before the Human Rights Commission where Z was invited. The RRE at that meeting after the report's publication. We've discussed alternative needs where we've specifically explained what the possibilities are even though it hasn't been our job, yet the best possibility is that covering the expenses of energy bills for Serbian municipalities is done by the fund for the north, in which a few days ago it has been realised to have reached 50m euros for the development of four Serb municipalities in the north<-1>, Yashar said of Indexline.
Meanwhile, interim action has called Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj at the government's meeting to preserve COSTI's functionality.
“COMM The STT has demanded that at the Government's decision be divided means to many of the 1m euros for covering electricity supply expenditures in northern Kosovo municipalities. We are awaiting closure of the agreement on planning and registration of operators in the north and the start of payments by citizens in the north”, Prime Minister Haradinaj had indicated.
It is estimated that Kosovo citizens each year have paid over 8m euros for the current spent by Serbian municipalities in the north. The ZERE ruling, 2012, has been suspended by the Court of Appeals under a complaint by the ombudsman institution.
