EU: We do not seek recognition of Kosovo by Serbia

“Note is not something about the EU. We insist that in normalising relations one and the other work, while in the EU itself we have five members who have recognised Kosovo's independence, of which one text is against”, it was quoted as being said by diplomatic circles of EU institutions in Brussels.
“There is no pre-existing document prepared”, European diplomats say, and stress that until the solution to the overall normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina must be reached through mutual discussions between the two sides.
The EU insists that the binding legal agreement on comprehensive normalisation is a necessary condition, but also compromise issues of both sides, rather than prepared documents.
That agreement should be the result of the two sides' deal, and not something we will put on the table under principle take or leave, the tanug sends to have said European sources involved in the Belgrade dialogue process Pristina.
