They pledged to co-operate in the fight against illegal immigration and the refugee issue, reports “Hurriyet”, Periscopi broadcasts.
The leaders stressed joint co-operation in the fight against the terror.
Erdogan and Merkel also pledged the importance of a key Turkey-European Union summit to be held on March 26th in Varna in Bulgaria.
According to official European Union sources, Turkey-European Union ties, international and regional issues, including global foreign policy, security, the fight against terrorism, the Middle East, Africa and Russia, are expected to be discussed during the summit.
Erdogan also briefed him on recent developments in the military operation “The Willit” that the Turkish military is fighting against the YPG Kurds. /Periscopi/
