Ivica Dacic, Serbia's foreign affairs minister, has met with North Korean Republic Ambassador Ri Pyong Du in Belgrade. Dacic there thanked North Korea for not recognising Kosovo's citizenship.
The communist country is represented under Romania's umbrella and is part of non-resident embassies.
Daciq has said that the two states have no open issues and, among other things, has drawn gratitude to northern Korea as one of the states that does not recognise Kosovo's independence, reports B92, Kosovo Presses.
Serbia has expressed its official position, saying they expect this North Korean approach towards Kosovo to continue to remain so.
The Serbian minister announced his state's stance on resolving the issue of North Korea's nuclear weapons, saying they support handling this subject with peaceful means. Dacic has also welcomed improved relations between the two Koreas.
