Coalition partners with different hopes for demarcation votes

Although the demarcation has been in order for days and weeks now, this agreement has not yet been put to a vote, and the sessions for it were postponed three times in a row, while the continuation was not scheduled.

According to Jethlir Zyberaj, cabinet chief Behgjet Pacolli last night at the home of the first deputy prime minister have been guests of his colleague from the Serb community, Dalibor Yevtiq, chairman of northern Mitrovica, Goran Rakiq, but Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and two other deputy prime ministers, Fatmir Limaj and Enver Hoxhaj.

Asked what has been said about the demarcation, Zyberaj said that “we are in talks that close everything quickly”, but has not provided details about the position of Serbian representatives, through which they are trying to convince Serb List deputies.

On the other hand, yesterday during the day, the head of the Kadri Veselini Parliament has said Vetevendosje is reflecting, while questioning which side he is talking about, has claimed to recognise only a VV in the Assembly.

We need a few votes, even a small VV reflection and we're going straight to session”, Wessel declared yesterday after the Assembly of the Parliament's Headship.

He has said he expects soon consensus on voting the agreement.

Very soon we expect the reflection of even opposition colleagues, we believe we will reach consensus, it is in the best interests of the state, and soon we will have a location which has justly disappointed Kosovo citizens”, he added.

But as negotiations are under way in the background, the demarcation was not discussed yesterday at the helm.

“For demarcation was not spoken, because it is now a public secret that is missing 2-3 votes without the vote being secured, the session” said yesterday Bilal Sheriff of the Initiative.

Representatives of the Serbian List have not attended the Assembly of Headship yesterday.

They are not attending these meetings since the Parliament has been trying to hold meetings for ratification of the demarcation agreement.

We remember that the February 28th session where the demarcation was expected to be voted was postponed, and its continuation is not known from that day.

On the last day of February, the president, prime minister of the Prime Minister of Parliament, had gathered Serb representatives in Haradinaj's office, but the meeting ended without results, while the official position of Serbian and Vetevendosje deputies is that they will not vote on the border agreement with Montenegro.
