A solemn ceremony took place ahead of the Salvation Monument in downtown Sofia.
“We are obliged to remember the heroism of brave Bulgarians. They have done a work that other peoples have not had courage and dignity” underscored at the ceremony the Deputy Mayor of the Capital of Todor Cobanov.
Among the most prominent activists in the rescue of Jews in Bulgaria are Deputy Dimitar Pesev, Sofia's Mitrovici Stefan I, Plovdiv Mitrovici Kiril, as well as leaders of several professional organisations, including those of writers, artists, lawyers, doctors, businessmen, writes. bg
