The chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Natalina Apostolova, has expressed its disappointment over political interference in the education system.
According to her, these interventions have caused Kosovo to have poor results in this area.
“There should be no political interference, teachers should be qualified. In this form students can't read and write as it did on test P. ISA, painful but true reality”, Apostolova said in the publication of the “report. Implementation of the Education Strategic Plan in Kosovo”.
She has added that she feels disappointed with the poor results of education in Kosovo, as well as for this reason Kosovo has failed several times to convince EU officials about progress in education.
“I am disappointed by the previous presentation about the failure to implement this plan. Kosovo will certainly be one day in Europe, but Kosovo has failed several times to prove this progress in terms of education”, it has added.
At this table, Apostolova has also mentioned education strikes, which are being held in Kosovo and reform and wage categories are needed so that such things do not happen.
“Reform is needed in public administration and in classification of salaries, so that we can have progress, not by leading every organisation to demand salaries, on which criterion they require it. Reforms in education are not quick, they yield results only after passing a generation”, it is complete, it writes away “Sound“.
According to Education Minister Shyqi Bytyci, there are political interference in education, and thus mention his appointment as minister.
The claims that education is politicised are very appropriate since the education system has been formed that way since the beginning. I myself am a politically-established minister with law”, Bytyci said.
