The visa liberalisation site is in Kosovo politicians

European Parliament rapporteur Igor Sholtes has said that the meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Montenegro's Dusko Markovic will be possible for a quick solution that would enable Kosovo citizens visa liberalisation. Haradinaj and Markovik will [...]
Haradinaj and Markovic will meet in Pristina on Tuesday.
Whatever happens, I think things are relatively clear: The demarcation of the border with Montenegro is one of the most important conditions for visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens, of course, in addition to fighting organised crime and corruption”, Sholtes has told the Montenegrin daily “Pobjeda”, Coha.net.
According to him, the ball is already on the side of Pristina and Kosovo politicians, who must have two-thirds of the votes in Parliament in order to ratify the demarcation agreement.
He says he knows that Markovic will come to Kosovo and that he expects to discuss the subject.
There could also be another solution that could lead to unblocking in the Kosovo Parliament, some second or third formula through which the issue of demarcation of the border would be resolved. But we can talk about this after meeting between the two prime ministers”, Sholtes added.
He hopes visa liberalisation will happen as soon as possible, because, as he says, it is unacceptable that Kosovo is the only society from the region whose citizens do not enjoy that right.
I think for Kosovo citizens this is one of the most important priorities”, European Parliament rapporteur Igor Sholtes has said.
