Thaci writes about the 10th anniversary of Independence: # We deserve to move faster towards the EU #

He has cited the agreement on normalising relations with Serbia, as well as that of the SAA.

Thaci has written about the pride that athletes like Majlinda Kelmendi brought to the state. Also, the singers Kosovo gave to Europe and the world, according to him, broadcast Periscopi.

Thaci, however, says much work has yet to be done. The president thinks Kosovo has deserved to move faster towards the EU, and become part of international organisations.

We all know well that we have deserved to move faster towards the European Union, which should already be members of the UN and all other international organisations, to sign the final agreement on normalising Kosovo and Serbia's relations as two independent states. )

The state of Kosovo is a successful and proud confession of all Kosovars. We should never forget this of all of us who have the privilege, honour and responsibility to be in service to this state and its citizens, writes in his editorial on the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's independence, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, whom we are broadcasting fully.

The most important day in Kosovo's history is February 17th, 2008. On this day the state of Kosovo was born, and so all the free citizens of this country, we became with our common state house, became citizens of Kosovo.

Each of us has a personal and family account of what we did that very cold winter day, how we spent those hours before the Kosovo Parliament was gathered, at its memorable session, how we rejoiced at the moment when with the Declaration adopted in the Assembly, we decided on our fate, once and for all, by declaring Kosovo independent.

It was that happy moment for all of us as a people, the moment of eternity for the citizens of this country who, as rarely any other country in this part of Europe, have been filled with tragedy, suffering, heroism, and love of country.

In short, you, citizens of Kosovo, displayed the most sincere, more beautiful, loving opinion, the February 17th, when you said: Bac was carried out, referring to the legendary Commander, Adem Jashar, and then, I too have state, who was well-pleased with the legacy of Kosovo's historic president, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.

Ten years in the life of an individual, a family is many, however, while in the common life of a people, a state, they can have the crucial burden for their destiny, they can accurately warn their future, as is the case with us in Kosovo.

I have had the greatest honour in my life since February 17th, 2008, in the name of the Kosovo Assembly deputies, on behalf of all Kosovo citizens, in respect of a glorious history of this people, in warning of the bright future of this country, to proclaim the state of Kosovo.

I know well that he saw the citizens of Kosovo, without their unprecedented will to sacrifice everything for the freedom of this country, above all, their lives, we would never reach the creation of the state of Kosovo.

This country is a successful and proud confession of all of us. Each of his citizens has a share in making this country.

We should never forget this, all of us, who are in front of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, who have the fate, privilege, honor and responsibility to serve this state and its citizens.

You know, well, also, that we all, we would never have managed to determine our destiny, become free and create the state of Kosovo without the great political, military, economic and, above all, human and friendly assistance of the United States and other major Western states.

We became together once in all of Kosovo, and then, even with the US, with Europe, free and democratic world, to make this people, this country, this Kosovo, this free and democratic state.

Kosovo's freedom and state are in reality the ultimate value of Western and European civilisation.

Kosovo and its people, to this day, are the most pro-American, pro-European citizens and state, the most pro-Western in this part of the world.

And that is why we are proud.

These first ten years of the existence of the state of Kosovo can always measure or there may be many measures for this first decade of the state of Kosovo.

Kosovo's independence has accepted 114 states, among them the most important states of the West and Europe.

In 2010, the International Court of Justice in The Hague confirmed our right to be a state. In 2012 we completed the period of oversight of independence.

In 2013 we have signed the first agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, thus paving the way for the country's full integration of the north into Kosovo's political and judicial system.

In 2015 we signed the Stabilisation and Association Agreement ( The MSA with the European Union.

Democracy in Kosovo has taken root deep, and we are now able to hold free elections ourselves, both for central and local power, which are exemplary for the region.

We have established stable institutions at all levels. We have the greatest intelligence, police and customs service in this part of Europe. We have a brilliant KSF that will soon receive the duties and mission of a modern literal army.

We've constantly marked an economic development that is the highest in this part of Europe. We have advanced many interethnic relations in the state of Kosovo. We have preserved the legacy of interreligious tolerance in Kosovo.

Kosovo participates in all sports events in the world. Sportsmen proudly wave the Kosovo flag on four sides of the globe. Majlinda Kelmendi won the first Olympic gold medal two years ago at the Rio Olympics.

Kosovo has given Europe and the world famous singer, has made precious films worldwide. The list of achievements and successes in the state of Kosovo and the state of Kosovo is very long. That makes us all proud.

But even when we mark the first jubilee of the state of Kosovo, we need to be sincere to each other and say we have to do even more to strengthen order and law in Kosovo to ensure social well-being for all Kosovo citizens, that the state of Kosovo is competitive in all possible economic aspects in the Balkans and Europe.

We all know we have deserved to move faster towards the European Union, which should already be members of the UN and all other international organisations, to sign the final agreement on normalising Kosovo and Serbia's relations as two independent states.

However, we know how we will walk in the weeks, months, and years to come. We have the will, determination, confidence, and hope that unites us all in our goals.

I am sure that the past ten years have been the hardest, most challenging, most difficult for the state of Kosovo, but the same has been the years of our common pride.

I am even more sure that those who live here, in our country that is a state of February 17th 2008, after ten years or February 2028, when they celebrate the 20th birthday of the Republic of Kosovo, will see that Kosovo has moved ahead with great strides, which has become a member of the UN, EU member of the Pact. NATO, which has a stable democracy, which has become a state of long-term economic and social stability, which, above all, offers dignity and pride for its citizens.
