While two government meetings have been scheduled to find a solution to the Demarketing Agreement, neither is Kosovo President Hashim Thaci staying at ease.
According to Express sources, Kosovo's president is hosting a meeting with the QUINTIT ambassadors for the Demarketing Agreement.
Kosovo's “president is holding a meeting with the QUINTIT ambassadors for the Demarkation Agreement, as this agreement has not yet secured the numbers”, the presidency's well-informed source has said.
We remember that the ruling coalition does not have the necessary votes in the Assembly to pass the Demarketing Agreement with Montenegro, despite the fact that it was signed days ago between the two presidents, Kosovo's Hashim Thaci and Montenegro's Filip Vujanovic.
The session for the Demarket vote was scheduled to be held today at 2: 00 p.m., but has been postponed in the deadline since the coalition does not have the necessary votes, despite support from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK)
The Serbian list has not guaranteed that it will vote on the demarcation, conditioning their votes on the establishment of the Serb Major Assembly Association. While movement “Vetevendosje” has made it clear that it will not vote for demarcation with Montenegro. So the ruling coalition without votes from the Serbian List and “Vetevendosje” is believed to have no more than 77 votes for demarcation, though for such an international agreement, at least 80 parliamentary votes are needed.
