The president, in an interview for OraNews, has flatly ruled out the possibility of exchanging territories with Serbia, while saying the dialogue process will continue despite Oliver Ivanov's murder.
The relevant “Institutions are working at maximum maturity of this case. There is no indifference for any political or ethnic motive. The year 2018 I believe will be the year of the historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia for the full normalisation of relations and reconciliation that would imply Kosovo's membership in the United Nations organisation and why not even mutual recognitions. I see it as a necessity of time, there is no time to waste neither Kosovo nor Serbia. There will definitely be no autonomy for Serbs, there will be no partition of Kosovo, there will be no exchange of Kosovo territory. Kosovo is one, it is unique, with recognised and internationally accepted territorial integrity”, Thaci has said.
The Kosovo Army project, according to Thaci, will also be finalised with international support as the head of state once again guaranteed the continuation of the work of the Special Court in Kosovo.
