Parliamentary Commission for Supervising the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) Chairman Haxhi Shala has stressed that the KSF is ready for its conversion to the Kosovo Armed Forces (FAK).
Shala on the “Facing” show has stressed that she believes that transforming KSF into FAK will occur during 2018.
“I believe that with an international community pressure on Serbia, transformation will occur this year. Every day it is seen that Serbia is giving up some elements it has had in Kosovo. Serbia's prime minister is now talking about an internal dialogue there. Kosovo's withdrawal from the Constitution is then discussed, but on the other hand, Serbian List deputies also take a slightly softer stance on the subject”, Shala added.
According to him, Kosovo does not need a force without NATO support, adding that “of importance is that the country does not need an army without NATO consent”.
He has said that what is positive is that there is a general consensus of the political class about the formation of the Kosovo Army and that there can be no condition on the part of the Serbian List in Kosovo. /Telegraphy/
