Even in the logo it is not written that it is Kosovo's Independence Day, as at RTK 1.
A large part of Kosovo Serbs continue to reject the reality of Kosovo state.
KTV yesterday was in Gracanica. Throughout Kosovo, the first class of learning would have to begin with the history of Kosovo's independence, but it was not worth the city's schools at all near Pristina.
There is no explanation for this in the Gracanica municipality, with the reasoning that the Director for Education was not there and no one else was authorized to speak.
And on the other hand, the day continued on the usual course. Gracanica residents continue to think February 17th does not belong to them to celebrate.
Everyone has the right to celebrate whatever they want. I feel that independence seems to me because I respect my state Serbia”, a citizen has said.
Kosovo can never be independent because it always has to depend on someone like in the past. I care about living somehow and independence seems important. Any unresolved situation like this Kosovo situation is bad”, another one has said.
While today, northern Mitrovica has woken up with banners on walls and numerous shops for Kosovo's occupation.
In the city are observed almost everywhere with photos of chained hands in which they write “10 years of Kosovo and Metohija occupation”.
The inscription, except in the Serbian language and the Cyrillic alphabet, is also written in Albanian and English.
Through these banners, northern Serbian citizens send a message that Kosovo is part of Serbia and that it is occupied by the International Community. Police responsibilities in northern Mitrovica have had no answer.
February 17th 2018 is just one more year, which Albanians and Serbs find deeply divided.
