Rexhep Selimi talks about changing state leaders' positions about Special

Vetevendosje Movement MP Rexhep Selimi has said the lack of positions of state leaders on the Special Court issue has once again confirmed the fact that the initiative to abolish it was a conspiracy. According to him, it is unfair that so far there have been no clear positions by the president, prime minister and Speaker of the Parliament on the issue, as their positions define further developments in the country.
“Throughout the theme of the initial procedures for the revision of the Special Court, we would have to have the correct positions of the president, the prime minister, and finally the parliament speaker. So these procedures have so far been unfairly missing”, Selimi has expressed himself to Periscope.
For the deputy of the Vetevendosje Movement, state leaders are obliged to take a clear stand on major issues.
Whatever it is, before any decision is taken in Kosovo's parliament, we should nevertheless have clear stances of prime minister, president and speaker of the Assembly, because their positions determine the situation and otherwise have the obligation to have attitudes on important issues, so I think that they have wrongly lacked their positions on issues of such importance to”, Selimi added.
Selimi says the lack of state leaders' stance on the issue of the Special Court confirms the fact that the initiative for abolishing the Special was a conspiracy, as the Vetevendosje Movement had named it.
And we have expressed two very clear thoughts. We've been against the Special Court in 2015, and we're even today, as an unfair thing for Kosovo, but on the other hand, we've also praised the whole initiative as conspiracy, and this is proving where all three of these don't have such a big attitude”, Selimi says of Periscope.
In a conversation for Periscope, Selimi has said the Special Court's statement is not already important for Kosovo, but also for the entire international community.
This issue is now not only important for Kosovo but also for the European Union. I came back yesterday from the NATO assembly, and there is one of the most important issues. And colleagues at the European Council have shown that this most important issue. The important issue is for Washington and Berlin as well. And so far, there are no clear attitudes, no even attitudes by the three leaders of Kosovo institutions, this once again proves that all this initiative on behalf of a right has been conspiracy”, has ended Selimi for Periscope.
Rasmussen Haradinaj, Kadri Veselin and Hashim Thaci have changed their positions about the abolition of the Special Court, which has prompted numerous reactions.
The last to have reacted has been former Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi, who has said someone is afraid of the recent political developments in the country, and “is hiding his head behind the saddles of deputies”.
AAK MPs, NISMA and the PDK, on December 22nd, 2017, had signed a list requiring the abolition of the Special Court, which was initially strongly supported by the heads of state.
Severe reactions to that initiative had been made by the US ambassador, and that of the Great Bitzania, had also rejected the Democratic League of Kosovo. /Periscopi/
