Recica abolishes former Serbian minister's decisions, considers challenge

All decisions made by Rassic, the current ministry says it has had to be revised. Some decisions have even been abolished.

The former minister's decisions were mainly related to the Law on the status and rights of martyrs, disabled, veterans, members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, civilian victims and their families.

Since 2011, families of civil war victims have not been able to apply for recognition of status. But neither had the medical commission determined the degree of disability of KLA soldiers worked.

Recica told Online Economy she is committed to law enforcement, so she has also made a decision to abolish these decisions.

“... one of the challenges I have faced after I took up the task of addressing the Ministry of Labour and Social Goodship have been some decisions of a former minister for his decisions made in 2011, with which he has better said to suspend implementation of the law for victims released from war”, the minister said.

At the time of the former minister's decision, the work of the medical commission on determining the disability of Kosovo's war veterans has been halted, civilian victims have been banned, applications for martyrs' families have been banned, to say the right that all of these decisions have been suspended”.

“ ... After taking office very carefully we have considered those decisions and within the first 100 days of our government we have abolished all those decisions already the medical commission for determining the degree of disability of Kosovo Liberation Army soldiers is working on the case, also dealing with cases, and the families of the martyrs, the families of the civil disabled have begun to apply and to realise their constitutional duties to the constitutional law, he said.

The head of the MPMS also spoke of the start of the application for recognition and verification of the status of victims of sexual violence during the war.

Recica, among other things, said she does not know the reasons for procrastinating law enforcement for this category, though the beginning of its implementation considers it serious, reports EO.

“... has been made public on February 5th, when these categories will be able to apply to the government commission for the realisation of a legally defined right. It is known that this law has been in force for a long time, and I did not mention the reasons for procrastination that, to date, categories or better say victims of the sexual violence of the recent war have failed to realize their right to conform to this” law.

I've met the government commission and looked closely at the work of this commission and pushed this process closely into the competence of the minister of labour and social well-being we've made decisions to create the secretariat we've set the pension sum for these categories we've operationalized the commission with other bodies, we've taken measures to facilitate or better say we've figured out the work of this commission to come up to the day when we've set the date when the commission can accept pre-disabilities for the violence of war victims.
