Rama: Albania's UN vote, act of treason against US

The Assembly today debated the position held at the UN on December 21st, where Albania voted in favour of a resolution submitted by Turkey, through which the US was asked to withdraw from the stance for recognising Jerusalem as Israel's new capital.
Rama viewed this as an irresponsible but not intentional position by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The secret to the shame of that vote remains an honour as evidence of treachery and ingratitude to a state and to a friendly government of Albania and Albanians, such as the United States of America and the government of President Trump.
But why has the vote against Trump initiative at the UN created concern not only in state Albania, but also throughout the Albanian world?
It was a surprise vote, the contract, unAlbaniand in no Albanian environment, unconfirmed with no constitutional institutions.
The vote against resolution Trump proved that in our diplomatic service diplomacy is still understood as at the source of the word in Greek, the breplotata, with two faces”, Luan Rama said.
Following his speech, the LSI deputy stressed that for Albania's interests, to consolidate a fair geopolitical order in the Balkans, even in recognition of the peaceful role of Albanians in the region, America has for decades military troops all around us, faces anti-American manifestations in neighbouring capitals, copes with the cost of sympathies to one producing another's antipathy, possibly hatred.
I'm not dealing with what the logcrats spread in the media, with what they call American revenge. I'm convinced there will be no such revenge. Perhaps they will understand the uncertainties of Albanian diplomacy, volunteerism, fears, small solidaritys and many others. But a small change of attitude we are seeing, and this cost comes from the confusion that rules in Albanian diplomacy, from the lack of unreceptive causes, from the strategy, which means that friends should be kept at cost, even at a loss of”, Rama said.
