Less than 24 hours after the Pristina Prosecutor's Office had described him as a physical suspect of assault as Economic Crimes Director Nazim Sahiti, this institution had repented, writes Koha Ditore today.
A day after the alleged witness's shift, the prosecutor of the case, Rukije Shasivari, had said that “has been influenced” to name him a suspect, as she was not sure if Sahiti was involved in beating PTK director Agron Mustafa.
The video from this beating has become public. It clearly shows the strength that Sahi had used. But in the State Prosecutor's Office, which the paper has, the prosecutor has declared that “is not sure if Sahi is suspected”.
Such a letter has been repeated by the Kosovo Police Inspectorate to take steps towards Sahiti. So why legally the IPK is not obliged to obtain authorisations from the prosecution to recommend measures against a police official, IPK task officer Miradije Kelmendi, has not implemented its legal competencies based on the prosecutor's doubts.
