The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has hosted the US Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Relations, Robert S. Karem.
According to the presidency's media report, Thaci has thanked Deputy Secretary-General Karem for his coming to Kosovo for his tenth anniversary of independence, which he says is evidence of American commitment to the state of Kosovo.
The “Visit and your supportive messages have added meaning to our” party, he said.
President Thaci has stressed that the KSF is ready to transform into the Kosovo Army and that this will be done in partnership with the US.
US Deputy Secretary of Defence for International Security Relations Robert S. Karem, has congratulated President Thaci and the people of Kosovo for the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's independence.
He has reconfirmed US support at all levels of co-operation.
The head of state has confirmed that the US is Kosovo's most strategic partner and has called for continued support in strengthening international subjectivity in the field of security, education and culture.
