Pacolli reacts to Austrian vice-kanceri: Let's not open the pandoran box.

Today Austria's deputy commander, Heinz-Christian Strache, has said that Serbia has strengthened its own arm in relation to Kosovo, and that “Kosovo is certainly part of Serbia”.

After that, Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli has reacted to statements he said are reckless and do not contribute to resolving any exacerbated situation in Kosovo.

We thank Austria for the great contribution it has made to Kosovo and the region, but we strongly oppose the Zvkanceari declaration, considering that statement was given without knowing the real situation in Kosovo. Any initiative of this nature can open the pandorin “and can create situations that bring bloodshed. Kosovo has declared its independence and has been recognised by most of the world's states, so the focus of all should be the fight against organised crime and the security and well-being of all citizens in northern Kosovo. Serbia must give up funding Serb criminal groups in that part, and the international community must exercise its pressure in this direction. Kosovo institutions have the necessary capacity to establish order and law in the country's north.
