The Netherlands has formally withdrawn its ambassador from Turkey and has said the Turkish ambassador will not be admitted to The Hague.
The decision marks deepening disputes between the two countries, which began when the Netherlands has banned Turkish ministers from campaigning at the Turkish diaspora in 2017, REL reports.
The Dutch diplomat has not been allowed to enter Turkey since March.
The Netherlands Foreign Ministry also said it has put <x0pause” talks on resolving problems with Turkey.
We have not agreed on how to normalise relations”, Foreign Minister Halbe Zilsra said.
Last year, the Netherlands has banned the entry of Turkish officials who have wanted to hold gatherings, ahead of a referendum in Turkey on expanding the president's competencies.
