12 people died after the pilot lost control before being deployed to the southern state of Oaxaca.
Among the dead were three children, since 15 others were injured, reports “Alzeera”, the Periscope broadcast.
The victims had been waiting on the ground to welcome Interior Minister Alfonso Narrette Prida and Oaxaca Governor Alejandro Murat, who survived the accident, as did the crew.
Officials had gone out to observe locations where the quake affected 7.2 Magnitudes that hit about 10km southeast of Pinotep Nacional in Oaxaca on Friday.
The helicopter reportedly crashed in the southwestern town of Pinothepa de Don Luis, 37km from the epicentre, according to the US Geological Study./Periscopi/
