Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Albena Resiti says the ban on cars in the capital could again become effective if air pollution values mark growth.
Stopping cars in downtown Pristina occurred only two days after, according to Resitajt eyari, it improved.
“Change the situation as far as pollution levels are concerned and there was no longer a need for”, she told Dukajini television.
These two days, however, were enough to see positive results. She calls such a decision success.
“Disconnection or car reduction at some points in the capital, I think there's a success in two plains: In one that is reduced, normally reducing the pollution level but not to the level of up to two manages to change the situation. On the other hand, however, it has been an awareness of citizens that it is likely that with a transformation of urban traffic, the city will breathe more freely and breathe differently that it is a particularly extraordinary need of the capital, because it is a stressful transport, besides polluting as well as stressful”, she stressed.
Minister Resitij has again warned the same measures if air pollution level will exceed the allowed limits.
It will be re-entered if we have the same” situation, it is over.
Pristina continues to rank among cities with the most polluted air in the world.
