Couples between the same sex for years, perhaps centuries, have sought to bless their relationship before the priest. But not everyone has done it. And much of them have been misled into achieving that goal.
This was true in 1901 at the Church of Galicia, Spain, where the priest had no idea that something was wrong.
Unknown to the church leader, such as the bride and groom were female women and married in the only sex ceremony that took place in the Spanish Catholic Church.
Marcela Gracia Ibeas and Elisa Sánchez Loriga, the latter played Mario on the wedding day. They have then spent the rest of their lives avoiding condemnation by authorities.
