Vetevendosje Movement MP Albulen Haxhiu and LDK parliamentary group chief Avdullah Hoti have shown the positions of these two parties for demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Albulen Haxhiu, in a proposal for Koha.net, has said they continue to oppose the demarcation agreement.
He has added how the Movement expects Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to ask other MPs on Monday not to support this agreement.
Our position in relation to the current agreement, which is harmful because it forgives over 8,200 ha is clear. We're against this deal and we're even waiting for Mr. Haradinaj, who at the session where this point of the agenda will be, through the Parliament's folk, ask MPs not to support that agreement. Now we also have a report compiled by Mr. Commission mandated. Haradinaj, at the top with Speed Bulqi, which is a very professional report that proves that Kosovo has lost territory. Such an agreement should in no way receive the support of Parliament deputies”, Haxhiu said.
She said that now the number of MPs opposed to this agreement is greater.
The circumstances in this legislature are other than those in the past term. Now the number of those who oppose this agreement is much greater, except for 32 deputies of our parliamentary group, against this agreement continue to be the Initiative and the AAK, so I don't believe we need the methods of the past legislature because we are in more favourable circumstances”, Haxhiu said.
Meanwhile, Hoti has said that the LDK's stance remains unchanged and will vote on demarcation.
“Attitude is unchanged. This deal was supposed to take place two years ago. It became the false political cause, and citizens remain isolated. Now they're forced to bring the same. They should apologize to each citizen for the time.
We remember that 80 votes should be secured in the Kosovo Assembly for ratification of the demarcation agreement, which the EU has set condition for the free movement of Kosovars.
