(8 years ago)According to the Kosovo Hydromethorological Institute, in our country since the early hours of the 03/02/2017 date, heavy rainfall has begun, initially in the western part of Kosovo (mountain of Nemura Bees), which have caused rapid formation of streams in that area and triggering rapid flows. During today's (03/02/12018), the intensification of rainfall is expected initially in this area and then in other parts of Kosovo, the amount of rainfall is expected to be high in some areas and up to the high average in the northern and eastern part of the country.
According to the announcement the intensity of rainfall in some areas will be around 25-40 mm/3h, with rising levels in river streams and exits from their beds to several river segments and possible damage expected.
The picture of the highest levels in the rivers is expected to reach today by 18 o'clock, which will continue even during the next day, when the intensity of rainfall is expected to decrease until the break. And there is also expected to be landslides in sensitive areas.
Current levels on the country's main rivers:
1. Drine White and Johnya are at 12 o'clock.
2. The Grecian Peshare Bistria reaches 12 o'clock: 135cm
3. Lepenz at Elez's Khan- level at 12 o'clock arrives at 162cm
4. The white tree at Cape P.M.
5. Sitnica in Nedakoc ʹ the level at 12.00 arrives at 169cm
6. The book on Leposaviq - the level at 12.00 is: 180cm
7. Morva Bince in Conchul: 12 o'clock level is: 294cm
In all hydrometric locations the trend of water level is on the rise.
