Hoxhaj: Time to vote Demarket, citizens to move without visas

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj continues to believe that Kosovo has not lost territory with ratification of demarcation with Montenegro. For this issue he requires consensus, and according to him, Kosovo has even met the conditions for visa liberalisation and that it is time for the ratification of this agreement. “It's the last time [...]
It is the last time Kosovo Parliament deputies vote on the agreement and for Kosovo citizens to travel visa-free to Europe”, Hoxhaj said.
It is more important how in Kosovo's country we have a vote supporting a solution that will ultimately enable Kosovo citizens a basic right like freedom of movement, Hoxhaj told television 21.
Subheader The PDK has said this party continues to be against this agreement.
“I am hopeful that in the coming days there may be positive developments in this direction”, Hoxhaj said.
The border demarcation agreement with Montenegro was reached in Vienna in 2015.
The agreement has been signed, for the Kosovo side, then the first deputy prime minister and Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci, and Interior Minister Skender Hyseni, while for the Montenegrin side, then Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Igor Lussic, and Interior Minister Rako Konjevic.
Meanwhile, 80 votes should be secured in the Kosovo Assembly for ratification of the demarcation agreement, which the EU has made conditional on the free movement of Kosovars.
