The transformation of KSF into the military is a topic that has been mentioned for years. However, a decision in this regard has not yet been made. In every government there is after promises that the Kosovo Security Forces will be transformed into the Kosovo Armed Forces. Even the new prime minister had said that we would eventually have the army in March.
But Ramush Haradinaj has changed the words. When they divide us a few days from March when they promised the formation of the military, the prime minister does not give deadlines when Kosovo will become military.

The transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into the Armed Forces is expected to happen this year or next year, KSF Minister Rrustem Berisha has declared.
The minister made these comments when asked during his visit yesterday to the mayor of the Decani municipality.
“We are on the right path to this happen through constitutional changes and I think that the year 2018/2019 will be the year of transformation”, Minister Berisha told the cast. com
The Minister of Security Force said the best way to transform into the Armed Forces is through constitutional changes.
“We are working on transformation through constitutional changes, because even NATO integration is much easier for us”, he has said.
I think we're on a good track in this direction. We plan on the Strategy that integration and non- majority communities are making efforts to be part of the KSF transformation and in its context we have an action plan where almost most of the activities that are ahead of this plan are at the bottom of”, Berisha said.
