Republic of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj received US Senator Ron Johnson, who is staying in Kosovo for official visit.
At the meeting, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dalibor Jevtiq and US Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawi discussed current political developments in the country, the overall support of the United States for Kosovo in the statehood process and the deepening of further co-operation between the two countries, especially in the area of economic development and rule of law.
Prime Minister Haradinaj thanked Senator Johnson for visiting Kosovo, stressing the need for further support in all processes Kosovo is going through.
The US support “is very important for us. Kosovo and its people will always be grateful for the assistance the United States and the American people have provided at all times”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
He said Kosovo is committed to its Euro-Atlantic path by deepening domestic reforms, specifically in the field of rule of law and order and in strengthening democratic institutions.
Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that Kosovo is today a factor of peace and stability and an example of good neighbourlyness and engaged in dialogue with all countries in the region, including Serbia. Prime Minister Haradinaj said the process of dialogue with Serbia should be set in time and concluded with mutual recognition.
Welcoming Kosovo's government and people for celebrating the 10th anniversary of independence, US Senator Ron Johnson said the US will continue to be powerful supporters in Kosovo's economic, democratic development and consolidation of statehood.
