Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias has declared that Greece has closed all open issues with Albania, and has voiced hope that the final agreement will soon be crowned.
In a long interview for Greek television Alpha TV, which was broadcast late Thursday evening, Kotzias said that “should tell you we had open problems with two of our three northern neighbours, with Skopje and Albania. We closed with Albania a whole package of open issues a month ago. And I think that's a good thing. The country should not have open problems”.
The chief of Greek diplomacy has pointed to his opinion that Tirana and Skopje “are showing more wisdom” as far as problems are concerned with neighbours, writes the opening hour.
Our talks and negotiations held two and a half years. As a result, conditions have matured and it was natural for us to arrive at a good conclusion of them, and I hope that we can get to it”, Kotzias said.
