Limaj, who has taken over finding a solution for demarcation, has said reaching this agreement unblocks Kosovo's path towards the EU.
The chairman of the Social Democrat Initiative since October has been committed to finding a choice for demarcation.
He even presented the proposal to Montenegro on his visit to this state.
Limaj's full statement after reaching agreement:
After a several-month serious effort and commitment in seeking to find a solution to the demarcation agreement, which would unblock Kosovo's path towards European integration, we finally have agreements between our two states.
Now Kosovo Assembly deputies have the opportunity without any dilemma to vote on the agreement, which respects the interests of the two countries.
I take the opportunity to thank Montenegro for the readyness shown to find a solution that leaves no dilemma and shadow in relations between our two states.
Reaching this agreement will deepen overall relations and co-operation with the neighbouring state of Montenegro.
I invite, all parliamentary groups and the head of the Assembly to urgently call the session to ratify the demarcation agreement.
This action of the Kosovo Assembly would be the best gift we can offer Kosovo citizens on the 10th anniversary of independence.
Ratification of this agreement eventually paves the way for visa liberalisation and confirms Kosovo's path towards European integration.
