The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Tanja Fajon, has welcomed the agreement reached between Kosovo and Montenegro, saying the EP will be activated in the liberalisation of Kosovo once the two conditions -- namely, ratification of demarcation and fighting corruption -- are met.
The agreement reached between Montenegro and Kosovo today has only opened Kosovo's doors. Eurodepute Fajon has said they will soon prosecute the visa issue to the European Parliament.
“we welcome the signing of an annex-agreement between Kosovo and Montenegro for demarcation. As a rapporteur remains committed to visa liberalisation”, Fajon wrote.
She says that once the two conditions are met, the demarcation that is close to completion, and fighting corruption, the European Parliament will launch procedures for visa liberalisation.
“We will proceed to the European Parliament when both conditions are met. That's what we owe to the guys from”, Fajon said..
