Why am I not surprised that Hungarian-Hebrew tycoon George Soros has decided to provide 400,000 pounds for the anti-Brexit group “Best for Britain”?
Because since the 1980s, Soros has acted as if his considerable wealth gives you the right to influence and change the policies of governments worldwide, writes sociologist Frank Furedi.
“Soros believes that if people vote wrongly, he has the right to prevent decisions made by them.
From his point of view, the Brex vote was a huge mistake, one to be fixed by a well-financed propaganda campaign, such as Best for Britain.
Soros does not believe in the legitimacy of borders, nor in the authority of the national electorate. As a result, it feels right to influence and if it is possible to guide the political fate of societies throughout the world.
Today is Britain's future; tomorrow it may be Italy or Hungary that will be the target of Soros”, writes Furedi.
