The head of the Kosovo Government's negotiating team for dialogue with Serbia, Avni Arifi, has reported to the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs for the Kosovo government's platform for dialogue with Serbia.
Arifi has stressed that at the next February 26th meeting in Brussels, the implementation of the agreements reached will be discussed. He has said that the government aims to close the dialogue and prepare the political basis for reaching a final agreement, meaning Serbia to recognise Kosovo, KTV reports.
The chairman of this Commission, Vjosa Osmani, has demanded that it be known whether there is a government decision on who the political leader of the Kosovo dialogue is, Serbia.
At the same time Arifi has said he is only named as the leader of technical dialogue, and that the government has no decision that President Hashim Thaci will lead the dialogue with Serbia.
Arifi has been asked by the commission members whether recognition of parallel courts in northern Mitrovica is involved in the justice agreement.
I don't know if there's an agreement like that, but I know there's about 2,500 decisions being considered that are of these” courts, Arifi said.
Members of the Commission for Foreign Affairs have requested more transparency and continued notice of the Parliament for the performance of dialogue.
