Ambassador O'Connell inspects the works on the asphalt investing in Great Britain

The ambassador of Great Britain to Kosovo, Ruairi O'Connelli, has stayed in the municipality of Kline today, where he has attended the opening ceremony of the work on the asphalt of the road to Budisalci Monastery, and has held a meeting with local government structures in Kline. Oʹ Connell, along with the chairman of the Cline municipality, Zenun Elesaj, have visited the Budisaltz Monastery and have seen the beginning of street asphalt. At the ceremony, besides Kline municipality officials, there were also KSF military officials, MKK officials, IOM, Kosovo Police and Citizens.
The 400m-long road asphalt project to the Budisalci Monastery is financed by the Great Britain Embassy, worth 32,000 euros, and the Ministry of Communities and Kthim with 8 thousand euros. The KSF will make the regulation, transmission and paved road with gravel, while the contracted firm will make its asphalt.
Afterwards, the ambassador, has stayed in the Cline municipality, where he has held a meeting with Chairman Zenun Elezaj, Deputy Chairman Besim Hoti, the head of the Cline municipality's Assembly, Fadil Gashi, and Director Lawrence Marekcu.
O'Connell, he's expressed his satisfaction in his cooperation with the Cline Town, KSF and the MKK, in implementing this project that creates easier access to the community in performing religious rites.
“Common work is very important, especially when helping citizens”, the ambassador said.
The head of the Kline municipality, Zenun Elezaj, has thanked the ambassador for visiting the Cline municipality and helping to realise this project and has announced that the two biggest problems facing citizens are drinking water and sewage.
“Two challenging issues about the local government we have been working on since taking office is the supply of drinking water and sewage treatment. We will draw up a feasibility study on sewage treatment to see the possibility of investment in the Communist budget and other local and international donors”, Elesaj has said.
According to him, the municipality, along with the Government of Kosovo, also plans to build the Transit Road, where the town of Kline would be freed from the movement of vehicles coming from Skenderaj and Istog.
Elezaj, has announced to the British ambassador, that this municipality has huge mineral assets, which are not being exploited and the municipality is willing to provide conditions for investors in co-operation with the central level.
“We will promote our assets to pave the way for investors”, Chairman Elezaj has said.
