Pristina's Municipal Assembly has held solemn meetings today on the 10th anniversary of independence. Invited guests on this occasion were Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj and Mayor of the Municipal Council Aldrin Dalippi; Tetovo Mayor Teuta Arifi; Ulcinj chairman Nazif Cong; Presevo Chairman, Albania Arifi; and the mayor of Gostivar, Arben Taravari.
In this case, Pristina municipality chairman Shpend Ahmeti said the idea is that the good practices of the Albanian municipalities trade among themselves. He said these parties serve as additional motives for working harder.
It is true that in these jubilee parties of independence it is time for citizens and politicians to reflect. This 10th anniversary serves as an additional motive for working harder. I have the honor of keeping the Union of Albanian Together. The idea has been to exchange the good practices of Albanian municipalities. The air problem is the same in Tetovo as in Pristina. Glory to the martyrs, and to those who sacrificed for this country. Let's work to strengthen our municipalities. God bless the Republic of Kosovo”, Ahmeti said.
